Canterbury Cathedral wood tealight

This very special tealight is a real one off being made of timber reclaimed from the roof of Canterbury Cathedral. I acquired a large quantity of this ancient 600 year old Oak during the restoration of the Cathedral Nave and I make pens for the Cathedral shop and my website. However, occasionally some of the wood is unsuitable for pen production as it is too Knarly or had, and as in this piece, at least one medieval nail still inside. So with this piece of wood I have made the tealight. I am really pleased with the way this historic timber has turned out. This lovely tealight holder is 100mm in height and 75mm width. A most unusual and interesting gift.  And remember never leave a naked flame unattended.
