This lovely dish is made of the Australian Jarrah Burr. The burr is the 'growth' that is often found on an older tree. In the case of Jarrah (eucalyptus Marginata) this can be a huge ball of burr sometimes in excess of 5 feet in diameter. This 11 1/2" ( 29 cm) dish is full of colour and is a delight either as a fruit dish or even as a wall piece. I really have no idea why my car keys are in the picture.
